Meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technology

  • April 12, 2022

On April 8, 2022, at the regular meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technology Doctor of Technical Sciences, chief researcher of the Rafael Dvali Institute of Mechanical Engineering Professor Revaz Kavtaradze presented a report entitled: “Hydrogen energy – a way to solve the global problems of civilization”. It was stated that the spread of hydrogen energy is a promising way to solve closely interconnected global energetic, environmental and climatic problems that modern civilization faces. The role of fundamental sciences, in particular 3D mathematical modeling, in the development of hydrogen energy and in solving global problems is huge. The speaker also focused on a comparative analysis of already launched mega-projects for hydrogen production, the dynamics of the cost of “colorful hydrogen”. It was noted that Georgia, as a party to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (Paris, 2015) and a participant in the Glasgow Summit (October 30, 2021), has obligations to develop and use modern hydrogen technologies. The recommendations were adopted unanimously at the meeting.
