Academician Solomon Pavliashvili held meetings on waste management and circular economy

Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture Solomon Pavliashvili, during his visit to Belgium, met with the head of the Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DGA1 NEAR) of the European Commission, Matthew Bousquet, and the head of the Directorate General for Environmental Affairs ( DGA1 ENV) Devor Pekan. Solomon Pavliashvili summed up the reforms implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture in the field of waste management and circular economy, and thanked the European Union for its support. High-ranking representatives of the European Commission positively assessed the progress achieved by Georgia and emphasized Georgia’s achievements in the process of integration with Europe.
