General Reporting Meeting of the Georgian Academy of Criminology

On March 31, 2022, the General reporting meeting of the Georgian Academy of Criminology was held at the Georgian National Academy of Sciences. The Academy members heard and discussed the report on the activities of the Academy of Criminology for 2021, presented by its founder – President of the Academy, Professor Malkhaz Badzagua. Opinions on the report were expressed by the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia Academician Giorgi Kvesitadze, Academician-Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia Academician Ramaz Khurodze, members of the Georgian Academy of Criminology, professors: Mindia Ugrekhelidze, Giorgi Todria, Gela Khutsishvili, Manana Khvedelidze, Vakhtang Maisaia, Vakhtang Kapanadze.

At the meeting, Professor Malkhaz Badzagua’s monograph “Collective Crime in Georgia” and the supplement to the journal “Criminologist” No. 1 “Center for Crime Research and Forecasting – 20 Years” published with the financial support of Grigol Robakidze University were presented. The results of the meeting were summed up by the President of the Academy of Criminology, Professor Malkhaz Badzagua. He presented diplomas of a member of the Academy to Professor Zaur Amilakhvari and Doctor of Military Sciences Vakhtang Kapanadze. A diploma of an honorary friend of the Academy was awarded to Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia Tamaz Shilakadze. Members of the Academy, professors Roman Shengelia and Giorgi Todria were awarded the Academy’s honorary diplomas.
