Meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technology

On March 24, 2022, at a meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technologies, Director of the LEPL Mining Institute, Professor of the Georgian Technical University Nikoloz Chikhradze delivered a report entitled: “Explosion Technologies: Problems, Achievements, Prospects”.

It was noted that blasting technologies are widely used in both civil engineering and in the field of self-defense. Research in this area has been carried out at the Mining Institute since the 1960s, with the construction of a unique underground semi-industrial explosive complex in the world, which was completed in 2005-2018 in the framework of the Science Program supported by the NATO.
