Meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technology
- May 4, 2022
On April 29, 2022, at the regular meeting of the Centre for innovation and high technology, Professor Archil Chirakadze (Director of the Andronikashvili Institute of Engineering and Physical Problems at GTU, researcher at the Andronikashvili Institute of Physics of the TSU,) and Academician Nodar Mitagaria delivered a report on the topic: “Active individual and collective means of protection against infection and treatment modalities for diseases.”
The speaker discussed the properties of the nanosized materials, liquid crystals, photosensitizers and antimicrobial drugs based on individual drugs for the protection and deactivation of coronavirus, the principle of action of reactive forms of hyperthermic systems and reactive oxygen species. Innovative technologies for the synthesis of copper- and zinc-containing nanopowders and highly efficient ultrasonic and microwave fixation in polypropylene nonwovens and porous materials have been created. A memorandum was signed with Mahatma Gandhi University (India) to determine the effectiveness of active individual and collective agents for the treatment of strains of severe acute respiratory syndrome and coronary heart disease. After testing, applications for a European patent will be filed together with Natek-Avionika.
