Meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technology

On July 19, 2022, a regular meeting of the Centre discussed the report of the head of the Department of Mechanics, Engineering and Technology of the Technical University of Georgia, Professor Raul Turmanidze on the theme: “Research on the role of operational characteristics of mechatronic systems in accelerating the reforms envisaged by Industry 4.0”. The report noted that the fourth scientific and technological revolution, also known as “Industry 4.0”, has been actively pursued since the beginning of the 21st century. Its ultimate goal is the complete automation of complex production, technological, administrative and financial operations and their remote control through ultra-modern mechatronic systems. For this purpose, new materials and technologies must be developed. Research findings are presented at several international conferences and published in prestigious journals, and novel designs of precision microtools and technological equipment developed in the laboratory are protected by 50 Georgian and foreign patents. The creation of five dependent enterprises for the production of machine-building, energy, and mechatronic devices that will work in one complex and will primarily focus on solving each other’s problems was proposed in a project proposal titled “Diversified Production, Scientific and Educational Holding” with the necessary documentation packages.
