Meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technology
- November 12, 2022
On November 4, 2022, at a meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technologies, a report was heard by Professor Elguja Shafakidze, Academician and Head of the Academic Department of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Georgia, Doctor of Technical Sciences: “Development of innovative technologies for Georgian sericulture”. The speaker noted that the process of restoration and development of the silk industry in Georgia is experiencing difficulties, which is caused by the lag of innovative technologies and technical means in this area, mainly due to the complexity of creating the necessary machines and mechanisms for feeding the silkworm. The researchers of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Georgia have carried out works, the results of which are protected by copyright certificates and patents of Georgia on inventions made by feeding machines for silkworms, including experimental models of a feed dispenser, feed distribution and scale replacement, as well as devices for spark extinguishing and unwinding silk bags.
