Conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli- Fragi

On May 17, 2023, a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fragi was held jointly by the Georgian National Academy of Sciences and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia. Makhtumkuli Fragi is an outstanding representative of the Turkmen nation, a philosopher, the founder of the Turkmen language, a humanitarian, a writer, a humanist, a patriot and a thinker who worked in the 18th century. His works have been partially translated into Georgian by Professor Zezva Medulashvili, although there is still no unified collection of his translations. It was noted at the conference that events dedicated to the great Turkmen poet are held under the auspices of the UN and UNESCO. The final event dedicated to the Turkmen poet will be held in Ashgabat in 2024.
