Academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia were awarded with a gold medal

A meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Georgian Technical University under the chairmanship of the rector, academician David Gurgenidze. The meeting was attended by the President of the National Academy of Scientists of Georgia, Academician Roin Metreveli, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, Academician Ramaz Khurodze, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Engineering Sciences and Information Technologies, Academician Elguja Medzmariashvili, Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Academician Solomon Pavliashvili and members of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences.

A gold medal was awarded to Ramaz Khurodze, for long term and fruitful teaching activities at the Technical University of Georgia, for his great contribution to the education of youth, the rector of the State Polytechnic Institute in 1994-2007, vice-president of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, Academician, holder of the Order of Honor. Knight of the Order of Honor and Vakhtang Gorgasli 1st degree, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, academician-secretary, Professor, Major General Elgudzha Medzmariashvili was awarded with Giorgi Nikoladze medal. For special services to the Georgian Technical University, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia Professor Solomon Pavliashvili was awarded a gold medal.
