Meeting with representatives of the German Research Foundation

The delegation of Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) consisting of the Head of Division International Relations, Dr. Jörg Schneider and Tobias Studeman visited the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, as part of strengthening institutional cooperation with Georgia. The guests made an online presentation of the DFG which is the central self-governing organization for funding research in Germany and one of the largest in Europe, founded in 1920. It serves science (including the humanities) and promotes research at the highest level in universities and non-university research institutions. In addition, the DFG is committed to developing international cooperation. One of the main goals of the visit is to hold a joint working meeting with the partner organization – the Shota Rustaveli Scientific Foundation. The guests noted that their future plans include cooperation with the Georgian National Academy of Sciences and the implementation of joint projects.
