International Conference

On December 8 – 10, 2023, under the leadership Academician Givi Gavardashvili, who is the Chairman of the Commission for the Study of Scientific Problems of Natural Disasters of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, the Organization of the Consultative Status of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the Environmental Protection Eco-center of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with the financial support of the 2022-2023 “Participation Program” held the second stage of the International Scientific Conference entitled “Prediction of Natural Disasters and Innovative Measures to Reduce Risks” in the conference hall of the Kvareli Municipality City Hall. The Conference has been attendee and actively participated an official representatives of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Tsotne Mirtskhulava Water Management Institute of Georgian Technical University (WMI-GTU), LEPL National Wine Agency, Kindzmarauli Wine Cellar, Georgian Film Studio, local non-governmental organizations and entrepreneurs, the mayor of Kvarli city – Mr. Givi Zautashvili, the Head of the division of infrastructure, spatial arrangement, monument protection, construction and architecture service of the Kvarli City Hall – Mr. Aleksandre Gigauri, representatives of various services of the same City Hall, businessmen and local residents of the Kvareli city. On December 9, professional and cultural excursions were carried out – to the alluvial bed of the Duruji River, to the Kudigori reservoir and to the Kindzmarauli vineyard area, and on December 10, a summary meeting was held – a round table.
