Prospects for cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia and scientific and educational organizations of the People’s Republic of China

From October 30 to November 9 of this year, the delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia was invited to the People’s Republic of China, where meetings were held at universities. Academician Giorgi Kvesitadze gave presentations about the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia and panel lecture on the theme “Microbial cultures and biotechnologies based on them.” Giorgi Kvesitadze also delivered reports at the South China Agricultural University in Guangzhou: “Bioresources of Georgia”; “Phyto- and bioremediation of soils contaminated with organic toxicants”; “Biochemical mechanisms of detoxification”, which aroused great interest and desire for collaboration in a variety of areas.
