On February, 28, 2024 on the regular session of the Coordinating and Methodological Board of Medical and Biological Sciences discussions took place on the problems of modern surgery and on some modern approaches, their analyses, reality and perspectives, Co-presenter, Professor Merab Janelidze made exhaustive explanation of problems of Bariatric and Metabolic surgery. Bariatrics is that very trend of medicine which studies the reasons for obesity, its curing and prophylaxis . The Bariatrics surgery is that very trend, which radically solves or makes too much easy the management of the men’s weight. After such surgical interventions patient is released from extra weight and deceases caused by it. E.g. Diabetes, arterial blood pressure etc. It is necessary to plan and carry out timely interventions in order to solve above mentioned problems effectively.
