The Public Lecture on Chemical, Biologic, Radioactive and Nuclear Safety

On February, 27, 2024 at the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia the public lecture was held on following topic: “Chemical, Biologic, Radioactive and Nuclear Safety, What we must know.” The lecture was delivered by the expert on biosafety, Doctor of Biological Sciences Lela Bakanidze. While meeting, organized by the division of biological sciences at the Academy the biological, radioactive and nuclear (CBRN) risks were considered. Determination and evaluation of these risks is the main cornerstone of prevention of CBRN. The providing of CBRN security is one of the main issues of national policy. Georgia is actively involved in the initiative of the centres of EU which are in charge of sharing the risk reducing experience (EU CBRN Risk Mitigation CoE Initiative). It pursues goal to improve the possibilities of partner countries to reduce CBRN threats.
