Academician Solomon Pavliashvili Took Part in the Top Level Dialogue on Climate Transparency Held in Baku

On 3rd of September, 2024, the top level dialogue on climate transparency was held in Baku. The meeting was participated by the Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia Academician Solomon Pavliashvili.

The meeting was attended personally and participated in online regime as well by top level governmental officials and representatives of international organizations more than from 120 countries, particularly these were delegates from Turkey, Uzbekistan, Japan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Kirgizstan etc. These were ministers, deputy ministers, Executive Secretary of UNFCC, the Deputy Special Representative of US President on climate issues, the Main Negotiators on Climate Changes, representatives of EU, Australia, Norway, Switzerland, Germany, UK, Saudi Arabia etc.

The dialogue pursues the goal of strengthening: global co-operation in the field of climate transparency; mutual trust between the parties within the Frame of UN Convention (UNFCCC); support of the parties in the field of preparation of biennial transparency reports.

In his speech Academician Solomon Pavliashvili thanked Azerbaijani party and personally COP President, the Minister of the Ecology and Natural Resourses Mukhtar Babaev for organising of such top-grade meeting.
