The 8th International Conference of Floods will be held in Georgia

On September 20th -28th , the Chairman of the Committee on Studying the Scientific Problems of Floods at the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, Academician Givi Gavardashvili was in scientific tour to the city of Chengdu, China, the Sichuan province, where the 7th International Congress: “Floods, Catastrophe, Risk, Prognosis” was held. 150 Professors from 16 countries and well known Chinese expert-engineers on environmental protection took part in the conference. On the base of the joint decision of International Association on Floods and the Organisational Committee of the Conference the 7th International Conference will be held on 6th– 10th of October, 2025 in Georgia. The Conference will be dedicated to the memory of Bolislav Statkovski, Poll engineer, who contributed a lot of to the scientific studying of floods and designing the automobile and railway corridors in Georgia.
