The Session of the Permanent Commission on the National Issues

On 30th of April 2025 in the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia the session was held of the Permanent Commission on then National Issues. The topic considered wile session was: “The Historical Importance of Martkopi Victory (400th Anniversary) and the Phenomenon of Giorgi Saakadze.” The speaker was Professor Vazha Otarashvili. The speaker highly appreciated the victory in Martkopi battle led by Giorgi Saakadze. He noted that through the stubborn resistance of Georgian people to the influx of the invaders Georgia retained statehood and the Georgians – Christian faith.
