Great Scientist, Academician Abesalom Vekua – 100

The prominent Georgian paleontologist, member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, head of the Institute of Paleobiology of the National Museum, Academician Abesalom Vekua, would have turned 100 on November 1.
A jubilee session and an international scientific conference dedicated to this important anniversary were held on November 3–4, 2025, at the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia and the Georgian National Museum.
