On September 20, 2019, the General Meeting of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences was held. The President of the Academy, Academician Giorgi Kvesitadze delivered an opening speech. There were considered two issues at the meeting. The first issue concerned the amendment in the Statute of the Academy. The second issue concerned the election of full member of the |Academy (Academician). By majority of vote Ramaz Khurodze was elected an Academician in the specialty of “Control Systems”.
