Meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technology

On 10 July 2020, a regular meeting of the Center for innovation and high technology discussed a report “Modern Methods and Tools for Planning and Management of Urban Systems” delivered by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, head of the Department of Interdisciplinary Informatics at the Georgian Technical University Merab Akhobadze. It was emphasized that the principle of sustainable development forces the creation of such expert systems that allow evaluating the decisions made during the design. The issues of city management were considered and the concept of a “smart city” was put forward. This is web-based smart city platform, powered by Google Maps technology that allows users to record and process various parameters of city objects using systematic mathematical or software tools.
