High-Tech Industrial Development Zone “Silk Road”

On January 17 of this year, China’s Yantai Industrial Park (high-tech industrial development zone “Silk Road”) informed us that the demonstration plot of the Japanese medlar (mushmula) in the Pingshan region of the Sichuan province, as a token of gratitude and respect to the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia and Academician Korakhashvili personally, was transformed into a demonstration plot for farmers of this province. The banner at the entrance reads: “Scientific and technical cooperation with the Georgian National Academy of Sciences. Demonstration plot established by academician Avtandil Korakhashvili ”. Since 2018, master classes have been held on this site to improve the skills of local farmers, who with the help of new technologies “increased the yield of perennial crops 2.5-3.0 times and will get out of Indigence.” Such significant achievements are systematically covered by China Central Television and published in the Chinese print and electronic media.
