On 28 May 2021, the extraordinary meeting of the Center for Innovation and High Technologies was held at the Presidium of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, which discussed the theme: “The strategy of Georgia’s socio-economic development: experience, challenges and prospects”. The speaker was: Mikheil Jibuti, PhD of Economic Sciences, professor, president of the Georgian Academy of Economic Sciences. The session was attended by members of the Center and invited leading researchers in the field. The report reflects the priorities and problems that need to be resolved in order to achieve long-term, sustainable and inclusive economic growth. In Georgia, the law should regulate the rules for the development, adoption and implementation of the country’s socio-economic development strategy. It is necessary to develop a vision (concept) of the country’s socio-economic strategic development, forecasts and plans for short-medium-long-term, long-term, to define strategic goals, objectives, priorities and a “roadmap” for their implementation with appropriate human, material and financial resources.
