Awarding of young scientists

In March 2023, a competition in physics for Georgian students and teachers was announced by the French Embassy in Georgia, the French Institute, “Paris-Saclay” University, the Irène Joliot-Curie Physics Laboratory (IJCLab), the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Georgian National Academy of Sciences. A total of 45 young researchers participated in the competition and presented theses. In the final round, which was held on May 2 at the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, 15 participants were invited, who presented interesting reports about high-energy physics and directions of accelerators. All 15 participants of the last round of the competition were awarded with certificates of honor. Three participants were recognized as winners of the competition: Saba Kutibashvili, a student of the Georgian-British Academy, Mariam Gogniashvili, a student of “Buckswood” International School, and Tamar Mamadashvili, a student of the Physics Department of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
