The Session of the Committee (Chairman Academician Givi Gavardashvili) on Studying Scientific Problems of Natural Catastrophe was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia. The floor was taken by Professor of the Department of Sciences at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Head at the Sector of Seismic Threats and Risks of the Natural Catastrophe  (TRNC) Nino Tsereteli . The presenter noticed that probable assessment of seismic threats was the object of study in various numerous regional and national projects. The data on TRNC received by the studies of various scientists who use modern approaches frequently vary. Sometimes these differences are kept within the frame of discrepancy, but it happens also that differences are essential. Scientists analysed the main reasons for these significant differences, in order to clarify insofar the output of TRNC is sensitive towards the initial data. It will be also considered insofar the various techniques of calculation influence the final output. It came out that initial data are the main challenge and they are mainly responsible for the output differences.
