Biography

David Lortkipanidze has over 30 years of experience in archaeological excavations and interdisciplinary research in Georgia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kuwait, Germany and France. He has led exhibitions at the National Museum of Georgia, both in Georgia and abroad. He has been a member of the Scientific Committee on Expositions on Human Evolution at the world’s leading museums. He heads the Dmanisi International Field School.

He has published about 100 scientific papers (including several monographs) in the field of anthropology, paleoecology, evolution of hominids and archaeology.
