The 10the Regional Dialogue on the Initiative of Financing the Biodiversity of the European, Asian and Pacific countries

The Deputy-Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, Academician Solomon Pavliashvili opened the 10th Regional Dialogue on the Initiative of Financing the Biodiversity of the European, Asian and Pacific countries with his welcoming address. Academician Solomon Pavliashvili stressed the issue of Georgia’s step towards the conservation of biodiversity and importance of the experience sharing between the countries. UNDP is carrying out the biodiversity financial initiative (BIOFIN) since 2012. This pursues the goal to eradicate the existing deficit in the biodiversity finances and the efficient mobilizing of resources. Initiative is supported by 41 countries, Georgia inclusive, which joined the BIOFIN global partnership in 2016.
